Welcome!

the garden gate

From the outside, the house looks like a simple, traditional, 300-year-old village home in Cotignac, but it is fully modernised inside. It is surrounded by an old wall in shades of ochre, covered with vines.

You open the oak door and enter the hallway, from where you can already see the large kitchen with a fireplace and long dining table. The light coming from the adjoining terrace will spark your curiosity, and you will walk through the upstairs terrace to open the glass door which leads down to the garden.

The secret garden

There, like an enclosed, natural pond, lies a pool with a jacuzzi, surrounded by flowers, herbs and olive trees. On one side is another terrace with glass doors. Here you’ll find a fridge with some mineral water, a cold bottle of rosé, and maybe even some peanuts. Voila, Provence is a nice place to spend a holiday!

And the best thing of all: You’re not stranded all on your own out in the countryside. Our house lies in one of the most beautiful villages in Provence, complete with shops, bakeries, a butcher, a fishmonger, and half a dozen bars and restaurants. In Cotignac you’re also about as centrally located as it is possible to be in Provence – just an hour’s drive from St. Tropez, the Mediterranean or the natural lake of St. Croix. This is our home away from home for four months a year. The rest of the year we rent it out as a holiday home to people around the world. So far the rental has been successful, with lots satisfied guests.

Welcome to Cotignac!
